 Nick Johnson spreads love in downtown Nashville We here at HMP are fortunate enough to have been sent the music video of the BRAND NEW single from Nick! Nick Johnson is a stellar musician and songwriter who is focused on channeling positive energy. These are the kind of people that will help lead the future to a brighter path.  In his brand new single "Spread Love" he sings about how "I got no time for hate" which is a very powerful message.  I mean come on, don't you just want to go over to the ledge he is sitting on and hug him? (making sure he doesn't get pushed off in doing so) I love the colorful 70's writing.  The music video is a peaceful stroll down Broadway (the main street running through downtown Nashville) while Nick continues to spread love in every interaction.  Melody Sheppard asks us to try to reach for the stars in her new song "Try".  Here at Hollywood Music Pulse have a soft spot for the talented and beautiful Melody Sheppard.  Her new song "Try" inspires us with triumphant lyrics coupled with her soaring vocal melodies.  She also happens to be an extremely gifted piano player.  The message of this song comes at the perfect point of 2020.  "Who do we think we are  not to reach for the stars,  not to dare, not to dream,  not to risk everything."  Brother Mike Tapes highlights recorded conversation between father and son! Not only are these conversations real, they have been animated in the brand new show "The Brother Mike Tapes.  HuffPost mentioned that this was the animators "first attempt" at animating. Impressive because short clip went on to get a quarter of a million views FAST.    These conversations were secretly recorded from age 12-28. The above clip was recorded in 1985.     Rodd had this to say about the show:  "I was friends with Mike in college and we used to sit in his dorm room and listen to recordings he'd made over the years of arguments with his parents.  Later he would play these recordings in a spoken work show in the East Village."   Rodd also said this about Mike:  "Mike is an avid rock music fan - he was the in-store DJ at Virgin Megastore in Union Square for years - mostly to fund his habit of seeing live shows - Dylan, Springsteen, The Dead, Tom Petty.  He docume

 Casuist punk band do acoustic cover of NOFX classic "Linoleum" We were fortunate enough to get an exclusive interview with half of the outfit known as  Casuist , the punk band from Southern California.  These guys are very talented musicians and songwriters.  In fact, they are multi-talented.   Both Ben Drix and Dave from Casuist  are full of life and music to share.  During the 45 minute interview the duo did an unexpected encore for their recently amassed large group of online fans.   The fans banged out "encore" on their keyboards so that the boys might play one more song.
