Crystal McGrath inspires us to attack self-doubt in her new podcast "Crushing Chaos"

Here in Hollywood, it is sometimes difficult for a creative person to quickly figure out how to live a healthy life.

Why?

Billboards, magazines, netflix, fast-paced consumer-culture that rips away one trend while simultaneously caressing the next big money-making human obsession.

The reason I say this is because we NEED more artists like Crystal McGrath here in Hollywood.

People who inspire us to be better and to look in the mirror.

"There is that tiny voice inside of all of us that, tiny bit of self-doubt that creeps into our thoughts. It’s hard not to let those thoughts take over our confidence especially when you have people in your life that confirm your worst fears. Why am I not pretty enough or smart, brave, or just plainly enough? This awareness of that little girl inside of us can help us change that mindset by recognizing those fears and facing them. Today on the Crushing Chaos Podcast Ola Walczyk talks about recognizing that little girl and proving to her that you are enough just being you." - Crystal McGrath

I don't know about you, but for me the above sort of language is my kind of talk.

On top of knowing what life is all about, she really has a handle on songwriting too.

Her new single "Game On" that is due out november 10th and with a rad REMIX by Billy Decker. This is solid foot-tapper with a chorus that is easy to memorize by the end of the song.

The best line to me is when she ties it all together and the band drops out:

"at 3 in the morning theres no keeping score, game on"

The band is SOLID.  Not sure exactly their names, but the producer is Billy Decker (14 number one hits) who I had the pleasure of getting to watch work through his genius production of Coffey Anderson's songs.

While I was filming "Country Ever After"(Netflix) with Coffey Anderson he always shared with me the tracks he would "send to Nashville" as he put it.  That literally meant we would record basic tracks, or just his guitar and voice, and he would send them to Billy Decker to finish.

Billy is a master producer.

So the fact that Crystal McGrath writes amazing songs, is all about self-empowerment, and works with one of the greatest producers in Nashville tend to impress us here in Hollywood at the Pulse.
